The home media centre has progressed from hacked xbox original, to the hacked appleTV with XBMC to the Acer Revo Aspire with XMBC. Today’s project was to take the original xbox DVD Remote IR dongle and add a usb cable to allow it to plug into the revo. Apparently these kits are available at game stores for 5-10 bucks. Anyway all you need to know is:
cut off a usb cable
