Tonight’s project was cloning the triple boot (xbmc/linux, OSX. win XP) revo. I’ve got my revo configured reasonably well as a home media pc using XBMC/linux. The revo is a dual core atom with an nvidia ion gpu. The upshot is that it does 1080 no problem. So now I’m backing up the revo using a ubuntu live cd and “dd if=/dev/sda | gzip > /media/disk/image.ddz”. It is still going as I write this, but I hope to get at least a 3:1 compression on the raw 160G image. Since there is time to kill while we wait… on to the next project
