This Thursday’s electronics night, we worked on the capacitive water level sensor. We wrapped a strip of adhesive copper foil around the water tank of the silvia. We then tried using a method similar to the arduino capsense library to get readings from the tank. It worked not to badly the first time out. This now needs to be refined to use a hardware counter to get the readings, and also need to take readings 8.33 ms apart to account for the 60Hz hum that these things tend to pick up.
