Dave and I finally took delivery of a 40w CO2 laser engraver. The idea is to use this for solder stencils. On the last tech nite we just played around doing setup and burning hammer and sickle icons into paper, since that seems to be in the stock photo set of the chinese software package that drives this thing. The picture above is one of the last burns that was done into press board paneling. This should be lots of fun, until someone loses an eye.
